WHATS INVOLVED IN OUR WORKSHOP
The Media Careers workshop is delivered by Aysha Iqbal who worked her way up from university radio to local radio before landing a role as a reporter and news anchor with ITV and getting headhunted by the BBC. Along her journey she worked for BBC Five Live, Radio 1 and CNN and is a Sony Gold Award recipient. In this workshop, she shows students exactly what they need to do to move forward towards their dream role in the broadcast industry in the fastest, most efficient and effective way.

- How to get your first break in the broadcast industry (whilst still in education) so you can build up your media careers portfolio.
- Understand the personal and practical skills the you should start developing NOW to make you highly employable and invaluable to broadcast producer/editors.
- Learn how to put together a captivating showreel that will make producers and editors want get in touch with you.
- Get to know the latest online and off-line resources for contacts in the media industry so you can network efficiently and build fantastic connections with editors/producers/employers.
- Learn how to put together a SMART action plan so you can reach your ultimatebroadcasting career goals.

Our workshops are bespoke to your students needs and can be delivered one to one or to groups of up to eight of your students and team members online or in person.

CLARITY CALL AND FOLLOW UP SUPPORT
We provide your students with two weeks of email support so they can email us any questions they have as they embark on their broadcast careers journey. You also have the option of a one hour clarity call three weeks after the training session so we can see how your students are moving forward towards their broadcast career goals.
